Israeli toyco PMI Kids’ World has landed a big one for its growing portfolio of gaming IPs, inking a new deal with tech giant Microsoft for Minecraft.

Eyeing a summer retail rollout, PMI will manufacture and distribute a new range of licensed plush, collectibles, stationery and impulse items based on the game, which has sold more than 238 million copies and has upwards of 141 million monthly users worldwide.

Minecraft joins several other popular video games in the PMI stable, including Roblox title Piñata Smashlings (Toikido), Web3-focused Pudgy Penguins and multiplayer party game Stumble Guys (Scopely).

Since launching Minecraft 15 years ago, Microsoft has inked more than 180 licensing deals for the IP. Its consumer products partners include Mattel (action figures), Funko (collectibles), Crocs (footwear), The LEGO Group (construction sets) and Disguise (costumes). And next year, Warner Bros. and Mojang will release the first Minecraft feature film.
