Warner Bros Discovery’s global consumer products arm has inked a deal with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to manufacture and distribute a new collection of Looney Tunes-themed Olympic merchandise later this year.

WBD will work with a wide range of global licensees in categories including fashion, sportswear, toys, collectibles and sporting goods to bring the collection to life. The partnership is tied to the IOC’s Olympic Agenda 2020+5 licensing initiative that’s all about engaging new generations of young and active families during the Olympic Games and also in the downtime between them.

In addition to its agreement with the IOC, WBD will partner with Olympic committees in the US, Italy, Australia, Poland, New Zealand, Spain and Mexico to create Looney Tunes merch for each country’s team. And the US and Brazil have also signed on for Paralympic team merchandise featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tasmanian Devil and Tweety.

The Looney Tunes brand is no newcomer to the sports arena, having starred in family feature film Space Jam (1996) and its sequel Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021). Following the debut of the first Space Jam movie, Warner Bros. also featured the characters in a Team USA product collection for the ’96 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta.

This year’s Summer Games will take place in Paris starting on July 26, with the next Winter Games heading to Milan in 2026.
