Cyber Group Studios, the prodco behind Gigantosaurus and 50/50 Heroes, has promoted Pierre Belaisch from SVP of creative development to chief creative officer.
Belaisch will now oversee the creative vision and strategy of the company’s development slate. He’ll also manage content from development through production, working closely with COO Raphaelle Mathieu (who is in charge of financing).
Additionally, Belaisch’s remit includes supervising the studio’s North American development team and coordinating creative projects at Cyber Group’s partner studios: A Productions (Bristol), Graphilm Entertainment (Rome) and Scrawl Animation (Singapore).
Before this promotion, Belaisch spent five years working on series including Press Start, Alex Player and an adaptation of Final Fantasy IX as Cyber Group’s SVP of creative development, and he was COO at Gaumont Animation for six years before that. Earlier in his career, he worked in broadcasting as GM of Lagardère Active’s youth channels for more than a decade.
In his new role, Belaisch reports to Dominique Bourse, Cyber Group’s co-founder, chairman and CEO. Bourse took charge of the company last year after Pierre Sissman retired.
