This is the toyco's third brand to make an appearance in Scopely’s popular obstacle racing game, which attracts more than 50 million players every month.

Mattel’s Masters of the Universe IP has dropped into Scopely’s battle royale video game Stumble Guys in order to tap into a huge all-ages user base.

Each month, this popular free game attracts more than 50 million players, who race through a series of elaborate obstacle courses. The partnership with Mattel brings new character skins, daily missions, cosmetics (like dances) and a course based on the Masters of the Universe IP to the game experience, all of which are now available.

Stumble Guys is currently on PC, mobile and Xbox, and Scopely plans to launch it on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation later this year. The Culver City-based company acquired the game from Finnish developer Kitka Games in 2022.

This is the third time that Mattel has used Stumble Guys to make a marketing play for one of its franchises, following executions for Barbie last year and Hot Wheels in 2022. These first two efforts successfully exposed the brands to new and longtime fans, says Mike DeLaet, Mattel’s global head of digital gaming. Other major IPs that have similarly collaborated with Scopely include the NFL, The Smurfs, Nerf, Monopoly and Mr. Beast.
