Munich-based Studio 100 Media and Spain’s 3Doubles Producciones are spreading their wings to develop a new CG-animated movie called Flamingo Flamenco (pictured).

The 80-minute family-friendly pic is set in Spain’s famous Fuente de Piedra lagoon—a popular real-life bird-watching spot due to the large presence of flamingos. The protagonist in this avian musical is a young female flamingo who rediscovers her passion for dance with a little help from her animal friends.

The Flamingo Flamenco team has set Q4 2026 as the planned delivery date. Studio 100 Film—the sales agent subsidiary of Studio 100 Media—is repping the movie and will present it to buyers at Berlin’s European Film Market next week.

Rob Sprackling (Shaun the Sheep Movie) penned the script, which tackles a broad range of themes, ranging from the diversity of Spanish culture and traditions to the lead character’s journey in dealing with personal loss.

This announcement comes a few months after Studio 100 acquired a stake in 3Doubles last October, with plans to co-produce more feature films and TV series for the kids market. The two companies have previously collaborated on popular films such as Mia and Me: The Hero of Centopia (2022) and Giants of La Mancha (2023).
