The arts & crafts company’s content arm has joined forces with Moonbug Entertainment to co-produce a new CG-animated Crayola Crew series (pictured) for YouTube, about a group of friends who explore the Colorverse and meet a cast of diverse crayon characters. Crayola will also co-produce an unscripted family competition show called The Great Crayola Showdown (working title) with Marwar Junction Productions, which previously collaborated with Hasbro on the production of Play-Doh Squished

Libertas Brands

Blue Zoo Animation has signed a five-year content deal with Libertas Brands, which manages the global rights to Spin Master’s Fugglers plush IP. In the short term, the London-based prodco is producing a new series of comedy shorts, parodies and songs (90 x three minutes) that will premiere on the official Fugglers YouTube channel starting on February 16. Libertas and Blue Zoo are also actively seeking broadcast partners to help develop a potential feature film or longer-form TV series. Retailers have sold more than eight million Fugglers plush toys worldwide in the last three years, according to Libertas co-founder and CEO Mark Kingston.

Dandelooo

Paris-based Tournez S’il Vous Plaît (TSVP) has assigned Dandelooo the worldwide distribution rights to its educational series Birds & Bees (20 x three minutes). This stop-motion toon for eight- to 11-year-olds sees expert educator Lili answering questions about sexuality, emotions and body development from kids in her neighborhood. France Télévisions has already ordered the series for its linear network and education platform Lumni, and TSVP will showcase the first two episodes of Birds & Bees in English at Kidscreen Summit next week.

Moose Toys

Character World Brands has signed on to manufacture and distribute a new range of products for Moose’s Ready Bed, Go Glow, Pop ‘N’ Fun and Hello Home brands across the EMEA region. The companies will collaborate on an initial drop of kids houseware products to retailers this fall. Moose inherited these lifestyle brands in 2018 after acquiring UK-based toyco Worlds Apart to expand its European network.

KO Distribution

French broadcaster Canal+ has picked up the first two seasons of live-action series The Pact (48 x 22 minutes) from Montreal’s KO Distribution. Produced by the distributor’s entertainment arm KOTV, this tween drama debuted on Télé-Québec in 2022. It tells the story of three teenage outcasts who form an alliance to prevent the mysterious villain Vandal from sharing their deepest secrets with the rest of the school. Season three will debut on Télé-Québec later this month.
