British studio DNEG has set up new senior leadership for its animation department.
Pixar veteran David Park (pictured right) joins the company this week as its new head of production, and will be responsible for overseeing the division’s pipeline. Park previously spent 15 years at Disney’s vaunted animated film studio, where he managed the animation and production teams behind major features like Toy Story 3 (2010) and Coco (2017).
His connection to DNEG goes back to 2018 to 2021, when he worked as an associate producer at Locksmith Animation. In this role, Park oversaw the studio’s first movie project, Ron’s Gone Wrong (2021), for which DNEG provided CG animation service work. Park most recently spent three years at London’s Passion Pictures, where he helped expand in-house talent and production technologies.
Meanwhile, after eight years at DNEG, Crosby Clyse (pictured left) has been promoted from head of production to managing director. Clyde is also a Pixar alum and worked there from 2010 to 2016 on productions such as Brave (2012) and Finding Dory (2016).
As MD, Clyse is now responsible for managing DNEG Animation’s global teams and a growing slate of projects. On the heels of working on 2023 Netflix film Nimona, DNEG is currently doing service work for Columbia Pictures and Alcon Entertainment on The Garfield Movie, which is due out in theaters this May.
