WildBrain Television
Lopii Productions’ The Fabulous Show with Fay and Fluffy has gotten a second-season renewal from the Canadian media company. Production begins in January for a new 26 x 11-minute batch of eps, which are slated to start airing next summer on WildBrain’s Family Jr. channel. Child educators (and drag duo) Fay Slift (JP Kane) and Fluffy Soufflé (Kaleb Robertson) host this storytime-based preschool series, which debuted in February 2022 and is distributed internationally by Sinking Ship Entertainment.
BBC
The British pubcaster has picked up two new seasons of Vegesaurs for CBeebies in a deal with global distributor Studio 100 Media. Season two will launch early next year, with a third season that’s still in production joining the channel’s lineup sometime in Q3. Cheeky Little Media’s dino series for preschoolers, which made its market debut at Kidscreen’s Asian Animation Summit event in 2018, premiered on Australia’s ABC Kids and ABC iview in May 2022. The first season of the show (20 x five minutes) hit CBeebies this past February, and is also available on the BBC iPlayer service, where it has generated more than 20 million views.
Kids First
Amazon Kids+ series Hello Kitty: Super Style! (pictured) is traveling the world, thanks to a raft of new sales closed by Parisian distributor Kids First. RTVE/Clan (Spain), WildBrain TV/Télémagino (French-speaking Canada), ETISALAT/e-Junior (UAE) and MBC (Middle East) have all picked up the CG-animated toon to air in their regions. ABC Frontier, which manages the series’ media rights in Asia Pacific, has also sold it to Youku in China. France’s Watch Next Media and Monello Productions co-produce Super Style! with Italy’s Maga Animation Studio. The show stars Sanrio’s Hello Kitty and targets four- to eight-year-olds with a fashion-savvy premise.
