Nickelodeon has picked up a fourth season of stop-motion preschool series Kiri and Lou from its global distributor CAKE.

Delivering in April 2024, the new batch of episodes will premiere in the US on Nick Jr. next year. New Zealand’s Stretchy has returned to produce the latest season of the show, which features a distinctive blend of paper and clay stop-motion animation.

Season four will see feisty dinosaur Kiri and his best friend Lou learn how to manage their emotions, ranging from the joy of learning how to swim, to the fear of missing their friend’s birthday party.

Nickelodeon picked up the first three seasons of Kiri and Lou for its Nick Jr. linear network last year. The series originally premiered on TVNZ (New Zealand) and CBC Kids (Canada) in 2018, and CAKE has since sold the toon to channels such as CBeebies (UK), ABC Australia, RTP (Portugal) and SVT (Sweden).
