Disney just can’t let it go. Disney Publishing Worldwide, ABC Audio and Walt Disney Animation Studios have teamed up to launch the first Frozen podcast, continuing the story of magical sisters from the studio’s blockbuster film franchise.

Season one, titled Frozen: Forces of Nature, is a 12-episode podcast (each ep is 15 to 20 minutes long) that will premiere in October for kids ages six to 12. It picks up after the second film and follows princesses Anna and Elsa, along with some new characters, as they travel to a magical forest to stop machines that are disrupting nature. Macy’s is sponsoring the podcast, which will launch in all of the usual audio entertainment channels.

Disney’s divisions are launching Forces of Nature to give kids and parents a screen-free way to spend family time. It comes on the heels of Inside Frozen II, a podcast that explored the making of 2019 sequel Frozen II, but this is the brand’s first fictional podcast.

Original pic Frozen was a huge hit in 2013, generating more than US$1.2 billion at the global box office, and it has remained a major IP for Disney. Frozen II earned US$1.4 billion, according to Box Office Mojo. Disney has expanded the hot brand into consumer products, books, games and theme park attractions. And in February, Disney CEO Bob Iger said that the lucrative franchise would continue with more animated films
