Netflix rolled out three seasons of digital short series Om Nom Stories from Spanish game developer ZeptoLab on its global service today.

With a total of 25 seasons to its name, Om Nom Stories (250 x three minutes) first launched on YouTube in 2011, and has since racked up more than 15 million subscribers across all social media platforms. Episodes star a cute green monster who finds himself in random, comical situations.

The Netflix launch comes on the heels of German tech company Wonderz launching an Om Nom-centric app last week that features coloring books and educational clips.

Om Nom Stories has its origins in puzzle game Cut The Rope, where the goal is to feed Om Nom candy by severing ropes the sweets hang on. ZeptoLab launched the title in 2010 as a mobile app that was downloaded a million times in its first nine days at market. The company quickly expanded distribution with new editions that are playable on web browsers and Nintendo, and Cut The Rope has earned numerous awards over the years, including a 2011 BAFTA in the handheld game category.

ZeptoLab recently closed deals that will see Om Nom Stories airing later this year on Indonesian broadcaster MNC’s kids channel, as well as on Austrian Federal Railways-owned trains.
