Sky Kids doubles down on two breakout hits

An updated version of competition show Let's Game and new raps from MC Grammar will join the broadcaster’s programming lineup later this year.

British broadcaster Sky has commissioned two new series to launch in October on its Sky Kids ad-free linear channel.

One of the new greenlights goes to live-actioner Let’s Game: Worldbuilders (pictured, 40 x five minutes) from London’s MonRae Productions and Nest Productions. This family-friendly series features popular YouTubers competing in construction challenge video games such as Nintendo’s Super Mario Maker, Frontier Developments’ Planet Coaster and SEGA’s Two Point Campus. Worldbuilders extends the Let’s Game banner that Sky launched in 2021 to pit YouTubers against each other in adventure video gameplay.

Sky is also bringing kid-friendly rapper MC Grammar back for an encore. The broadcaster has ordered London-based Monkey’s MC Grammar: Rap Tales (10 x five minutes), featuring the rapper (real name Jacob Mitchell) spitting rhymes to tell contemporary versions of classic fairy tales. This is the second series featuring MC Grammar that Sky has greenlit, following in the wake of animated series MC Grammar’s Wonder Raps. This initial show premiered in August 2022, and teaches kids about early-learning topics such as oceanography and healthy eating through rap.

The broadcaster has also locked down premiere dates for two previous commissions. Magic Light Pictures’ preschool series Pip and Posy: Let’s Learn (26 x five minutes) will hit Sky Kids in October, followed a month later by Isadora Moon (52 x 11 minutes) from Kelebek Media and Jam Media.
