Belgium channel RTBF has acquired streaming rights to Les Armateurs’ CG-animated series Runes, which will launch on its Auvio VOD service later this year.
Prime Entertainment Group closed the deal for Les Armateurs, and both companies are owned by French entertainment conglomerate Hildegarde.
Runes (26 x 22 minutes) targets kids ages seven to 11 and centers around a 12-year-old heir to the throne of Normandy who must go on the run to escape the villains who are trying to assassinate him. The series premiered on France’s Canal+ in October 2022, and Swiss broadcaster RTS acquired it in March.
On behalf of Les Armateurs, Prime Entertainment has previously sold feature film The Triplets of Belleville to KiKa in Germany and holiday special Looking for Santa to RTHK in Hong Kong.
