London’s Big Little Fish Television is planning a significant kids slate expansion and has hired BBC Studios alum Ros Attille (pictured) to lead the charge as its first-ever head of children’s and young audiences.
Based in London, Attille is working in the senior management team alongside COO Georgina Surtees and creative director Peter Usher.
Best-known for adult docuseries, Big Little Fish produced its first kids title this year—a comedy-reality series called Meet the McQueens (20 x 15 minutes). It launched on CBBC and BBC iPlayer in February, featuring 14-year-old vegan chef Omari McQueen cooking his favorite recipes, plus the antics of his family.
The indie prodco plans to take on more projects for younger audiences with Attille on board. She will lead development on animation and unscripted live action for kids, and has emphasized in a release that diverse representation will be a top priority in her content strategy.
Attille comes from BBC Studios Kids & Family, where she served as head of preschool development from 2016 to 2023, and created popular series such as YolanDa’s Band Jam and JoJo & Gran Gran.
Prior to this post, Attille wrote and produced content for UK broadcasters such as ITV, Disney Junior and Sky.
