A number of buyers have booked appointments to see Spin Master’s Vida the Vet air on their channels. New broadcasting partners include Netflix (US, Germany, Austria and Switzerland), Warner Bros Discovery (Asia), DR (Denmark), HOP! (Israel) and YLE (Finland), and they will join BBC (UK) and Treehouse (Canada). The 52 x 11-minute toon is slated to premiere in October and stars a 10-year-old veterinarian who uses her intuition and quick thinking to help heal woodland creatures living near her house.
WildBrain CPLG
Magic Mixies has conjured up its first wave of US and Canadian licensees. North American licensing agent WildBrain CPLG has locked in deals with Bentex (apparel), Centric (sleepwear), Franco (homewares), HarperCollins (publishing), InnovativeDesigns (stationery) and Mad Engine Canada (apparel). The collectibles brand is based on an unboxing format that sees small figures dropped into a bubbling cauldron to reveal each creature’s new look. Magic Mixies has content on YouTube and two specials available on Netflix.
Kelebek Media
De Agostini Group’s KidsMe subsidiary has signed on to distribute and manage consumer products rights for Kelebek’s 2D-animated adventure series Isadora Moon (48 x 11 minutes) in Italy. The series is based on a popular book series by author and illustrator Harriet Muncaster that has sold more than four million copies to date and is published in Italy by De Agostini Libri.
Toca Boca
Thanks to a new deal between Paramount Consumer Products/Nickelodeon and Spin Master’s Swedish game studio Toca Boca, kids will soon be able to deck out environments and avatars in mobile game Toca Life World with virtual accessories inspired by SpongeBob’s undersea city of Bikini Bottom. This themed content for the app launches on June 13 and will be available until August 18.
