Germany’s Toon2Tango and ZDF Studios have joined forces to co-distribute CG-animated series Dino Mite (pictured).
Toon2Tango will sell the show in Italy, Iberia, China and French-speaking territories, with ZDF Studios managing the rest of the world. (ZDF Studios is the commercial arm of German broadcaster ZDF, which already has Dino Mite lined up for a 2024 launch.)
Produced by TRIKK17 and M.A.R.K.13 in Germany and Luxembourg’s Fabriuques d’Images, this 39 x 11-minute series is based on a five-title Minus Drei book series by Ute Krause (Random House). Aimed at kids ages four to seven, both the books and animated series explore the prehistoric friendship between a young dinosaur and a cave girl.
ZDF Studios also recently signed on as the global distributor for Norwegian live-action kids series Superhero Academy. It’s currently co-producing a 20 x 15-minute second season of the series with Norway’s Seafood TV, with delivery set for later this year.
