He will help execute the French studio's strategy to develop projects for audiences beyond preschool.

Paris-based Millimages (Mouk) has appointed former Disney executive Clément Le Strat (pictured) as a development manager to help expand the company’s content focus beyond preschool.

Millimages is looking to start feeding more projects for older viewers into its catalogue, which is rich with successful preschool programming. The studio has produced the odd show for the seven-plus and YA demos in the past, including Corneil & Bernie and Lascars, but its biggest hits have been shows for the youngest viewing audience. Among these preschool hits is 2D-animated series Molang, which airs in 190 countries/territories on channels and streaming platforms such as Spacetoon (MENA), ABC (Australia), CCTV (China), Pluto TV (US) and Netflix (global).

Le Strat officially stepped into his new position a few weeks ago and reports to Bonnie Lener, who heads up the Millimages development division.

His experience developing older-skewing series will support the company’s new strategy, said Lener in a release. Le Strat joins from French prodco Studio Redfrog, where he served as head of development from 2019 to 2023 and worked on shows like Smarty Pants for the seven to nine crowd.

He also spent 11 years at Disney France as a program development manager and editorial advisor, overseeing more than 60 shows, including live-action tween series Trop la Classe! and toons such as Galactik Football.

Lener and Le Strat will present a new slate of Millimages projects at Annecy next month, including a new Molang spinoff and a 2D-animated series for six- to nine-year-olds called Camp Farmcreek
