The submission window for Kidscreen’s Hot50, an annual ranking of the top 50 companies in kids broadcasting, production, distribution, licensing and digital media, is officially open.
Applicants have until July 28 to complete an online form outlining their company’s three biggest achievements from the last 12 months. Submissions can be made in more than one category, depending on the scope of a company’s business, and there is no cost to enter.
In October, Kidscreen‘s newsletter and magazine subscribers will be invited to review the submissions online and vote once in each category to determine 2023’s rankings.
Last year, Disney+ earned its first number-one ranking in broadcasting, ending rival platform Netflix’s eight-year domination of the category. Canada’s 9 Story Media Group was tops in production and distribution last year; Sesame Workshop ranked highest in digital media; and WildBrain dethroned The LEGO Group to take the licensing crown.
Companies that make it into the Kidscreen Hot50 will be featured in a special end-of-year digital issue, as well as in Kidscreen’s February/March 2024 magazine, distributed at Kidscreen Summit 2024 (February 4-7, San Diego). They will also be recognized as part of our high-profile Kidscreen Awards ceremony at the event, and showcased on a dedicated microsite for a full year.
If you want to be in the Hot50 mix, now’s the time to enter!
