After four years as BBC Studios ANZ’s head of content sales and co-production, Deb Tod is stepping up into a new leadership role in international sales.
As director of content partnerships and sales, Tod will set and oversee strategy for the ANZ sales team, as well as directly managing affiliate sales. She’ll also continue to oversee global deals, partnerships and co-productions for the BBC’s content.
Tod first joined BBC Studios ANZ in July 2014 as a senior sales executive. She has since been the architect of several key deals, including a multi-year renewal agreement with Australian public broadcaster ABC for BBC kids programming including live-action comedy Horrible Histories (126 x 22 minutes) and 2D-animated preschool series Hey Duggee (142 x seven minutes). She also recently inked multi-year deals for lifestyle content (The Great British Bake Off) with Australian network Foxtel and for the BBC Planet franchise with New Zealand pubcaster TVNZ.
