Netflix is heading to the realm of the dead with a new 2D-animated series called Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld.

Titmouse is animating this kids and family toon about a Chinese-American teen living in Texas who discovers a demon king is after her supernatural powers. With the help of her family, Jentry must battle the monsters of the underworld, while also surviving the real-world hell that is high school.

First-time showrunner Echo Wu (The Wishgranter) created the series and is an executive producer, along with actor Ali Wong (who voices Jentry) and Locke & Key producer Aron Eli Coleite. From Titmouse, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina also have EP credits on the project.

The series has already been cast, with Wong, Kung Fu Panda actor Lucy Liu and SNL cast member Bowen Yang toplining the roster.
