Paris-based prodco MIAM ! animation has appointed Sarah Teyssier-Miko and Anne Besnier into newly created roles as head of studio and head of production respectively.

Teyssier-Miko (pictured center) officially starts this month and will be responsible for production management, building out the studio’s pipeline and shaping strategies for development/financing. Most recently, she spent a seven-year tenure at Xilam-owned studio Cube Creative, where she served in the same role.

Besnier (pictured right), who joined MIAM ! last month, will oversee production and focus on MIAM’s upper-preschool series The Tinies (52 x 11 minutes). Greenlit by Canal+, the series will go into production this spring and is slated to launch in early 2025. Besnier previously headed up production at Parisian studios like Shards and Blue Spirit.

Both execs are based in Paris and will report to CEO Hanna Mouchez. In addition to the two creative hires, MIAM ! has also appointed Amélie Mermoud (pictured left) as head of brands and communication.

These roles were created to support the company’s growing kids slate, which includes upcoming tween series Goat Girl (52 x 11 minutes). MIAM ! is co-producing the 2D-animated project with Ireland’s Daily Madness Production and Belgium’s Thuristar for WBD EMEA and KiKA (Germany).

Last year, the prodco launched the 52 x 12-minute CG-animated series Edmond and Lucy, commissioned by France Télévisions and KiKA. The nature-centric show for preschoolers was sold to several international broadcasters including RAI (Italy), Clan/RTVE (Spain), Youku (China) and MBC (MENA).
