Studio 100 Media

Three new European broadcasters are loading up on Vegesaurs. SVT (Sweden), LTV (Latvia) and MTVA (Hungary) have all picked up the 20 x five-minute Aussie series from its Munich-based distributor. Australia’s Cheeky Little Media produces this CG-animated preschool show about the adventures of a young Triceratops made from carrots and other vegetable-forward dinos romping through Vegesaur Valley. ABC Australia premiered the series in May 2022, and a 20-episode second season that’s currently in production will start running in the summer.

Sinking Ship Entertainment

A museum exhibition based on Sinking Ship’s Jane (pictured) series for Apple TV+ is coming soon to the US. Jane’s Endangered Animal Experience is set to open in April at LA’s California Science Center and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh. Featuring the high-tech vehicle driven by the live-action show’s namesake main character, the exhibit will also highlight environmental factors threatening the North American honeybee. Apple TV+ is premiering Jane on April 14.

Rovio Entertainment

The Finnish video game company has appointed IMG as the exclusive publishing agent for its flagship franchise Angry Birds. This expands on an existing global licensing deal between the two companies that already spans categories such as toys and apparel. New York-based IMG will work on broadening the Angry Birds publishing program with new books, audiobooks and comics. Penguin Children’s Puffin and Nordic publisher Storytel are already on board.

London Symphony Orchestra

Dutch prodco StoryZoo has partnered with the 100-year-old orchestra to produce a 10-episode animated series for kids featuring famous classical masterpieces. Each episode will also deliver quirky facts about a different musical instrument. StoryZoo’s production credits include animated series StoryZoo Adventures (25 x nine minutes) and StoryZoo at School (60 x five minutes).
