New York-based agency Licensing Street has signed three new deals that will expand the consumer products program for Fred Rogers Productions’ preschool series Donkey Hodie.

All three licensing partners—Komar (sleepwear), Mad Engine (apparel) and Rubies (costumes and role-playing games)—will launch product ranges in the fall. And master toy licensee Jada Toys is also planning to roll out a line of plush toys later this year.

Fred Rogers and Spiffy Pictures in Chicago co-produce Donkey Hodie (80 x 11 minutes), which premiered in 2021 on PBS KIDS. A second season is currently in production and will be ready to air later this year. TVOKids (Canada), Canal Panda (Spain) and Ejunior (UAE) have also picked up the puppet-based series.

The Donkey Hodie licensing program already includes 12 books published by Simon & Schuster, as well as three games on the PBS KIDS website and app.
