Finnish prodco Rabbit Films has produced a local-language version of Nippon TV’s unscripted family format Silent Library. The new version, called Silent Library Suomi, features six contestants who must make it through a series pranks—i.e. tarantula on the face, smelling really bad odors—without uttering a word. Silent Library Suomi will premiere February 15 on Star Channel, which is owned by Walt Disney Company Finland. The original series debuted in 2007, and formats have since been developed for the US, the UK, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
Disguise
The US costume manufacturer has renewed its exclusive license for Minecraft with Microsoft. Disguise will retain worldwide rights to design, market and distribute Halloween costumes and accessories for the popular gaming IP.
Rebel Girls
The LA-based female empowerment brand is bringing its audio and eBook content to Android’s Google Kids Space. Rebel Girls will launch 18 eBooks and 180 audio stories (pictured, each one nine to 15 minutes long) on the digital platform over the course of the next year. Targeting kids ages three to six, the content centers on real-life stories about inspiring women.
Incredible Film
The Dutch distributor is putting four upcoming Tummy Tom films on the market internationally. Slated to premiere in 2024 and produced by Phanta Animation and BosBros in the Netherlands, the 2D-animated movies for preschoolers star a same-name ginger cat who debuted in the Dutch version of Sesame Street in 1978, and also starred in a popular ’80s book series.
Lotus Global Marketing
Belgian prodco Studio 100 has tapped the licensing agency to rep its CG-animated series Mia and Me in Brazil. Lotus will build out a regional licensing program focused on categories like toys, apparel, stationery and back-to-school merch.
