Pipeline Studios (Alma’s Way) has hired Jane Crawford as its first-ever SVP of production and operations.
In this newly created role, Crawford is tasked with managing Pipeline’s growth plans and overseeing operations in Canada, Latin America and Europe. She will also support the expansion of the company’s development and production capabilities.
Based in Toronto, Crawford officially started this month, reporting directly to Pipeline CEO and co-founder Luis Lopez.
This new hire comes on the heels of Pipeline’s latest series, Work It Out Wombats!, launching last week on PBS KIDS. Next up, Lyla in the Loop (40 x 30 minutes) is also earmarked for the US pubcaster. The STEM-focused series targeting the four to eight demo was greenlit last month and should premiere in early 2024.
Crawford joins Pipeline following a 12-year run at Nelvana, where her most recent title was head of studio. All tolled, she produced more than 400 half hours at the Canadian studio, and has credits on series including the 2D-animated Esme & Roy (103 x 11 minutes) with Sesame Workshop and the live-actioner Miss Persona (52 x three minutes).
Prior to Nelvana, Crawford served as a producer at companies including Cookie Jar Entertainment (Caillou) and CORE Digital Pictures (Chop Socky Chooks).
