The prodco has sold season one of its CG-animated series Zoonicorn (52 x seven minutes, pictured) to UK broadcaster Sky, which plans to air the preschool series on its February-launching linear kids channel and its VOD platform. The New York-based publisher has partnered with arts-education media company Story Pirates to launch an online book club for kids and families. Kicking off in January and running until July, the Story Pirates Book Club will host seven interactive virtual meetings on its website to focus on classic books such as Chris Grabenstein’s Mr. Lemoncello’s Library and Pope Osborne’s Magic Tree House, as well as new titles including Futureland: Battle for the Park by H. D. Hunter and Momo Arashima Steals the Sword of the Wind by Misa Sugiura.

King Features Syndicate

The Hearst-owned company has partnered with publisher Dark Horse Books to release a book that showcases the art behind its animated Netflix series The Cuphead Show! Featuring character and background designs and comments from the artists who created them, The Art of The Cuphead! is penned by series lead writer Deeki Deke and will be on sale in summer 2023 in book stores and comic shops for US$49.99. The Cuphead Show!—based on the best-selling video game from Canadian indie game developer MDHR—debuted on Netflix in February and stars two brothers who live with their grandfather in a house shaped like a teapot.
