LA-based toyco MGA Entertainment is collaborating with celebrity entrepreneur Paris Hilton to launch a collectible doll in her likeness that will sell as part of its Rainbow High range.

Aimed at kids ages six to 12 and collectors, the Paris Hilton doll comes with two outfits, accessories and a pet companion toy (her trademark Pomeranian dog), all wrapped up in a pink metal box featuring her artwork and an autograph inside. The SKU is now available online at Amazon, Walmart and Target.

MGA released the doll after Hilton appeared twice in its Rainbow High CG-animated series and audience members started asking to see her represented in the toys, according to a company spokesperson.

The 48 x eight-minute series centers around the fashion-loving students of fine arts school Rainbow High as they prepare to compete in a musical competition with other high schools. Australian animation studio Pixel Zoo produces the series, which is currently available on YouTube and Netflix.

Rainbow High originally launched in 2020 with dolls for six to 12s that come with mix-and-match accessories. This year, MGA launched a spinoff series called Shadow High and a greyscale-hued doll range to go along with it.

Doll sales grew significantly during the pandemic, increasing by 3.7% in the US to US$3.78 billion in 2021, according to research firm Oberlo. So far this year, Statista data shows that revenue in the doll and soft toys segment has continued to climb to US$5.78 billion in the US.
