Pamela RibonDisney Television Animation has signed a first-look deal with writer Pamela Ribon, who’s co-developing a CG-animated co-viewing sitcom for the media giant with Baobab Studios.

Intercats is the first project in Ribon’s Disney pipeline, and it features a group of felines who make viral videos in an effort to become internet-famous. Ribon is writing the scripts for the series, which Baobab co-founder and creative director Eric Darnell (Madagascar) will executive produce with Gary Marsh from Disney. Jony Chandra (Nimona) is also on board as director.

Ribon has a proven track record with Disney, having co-written scripts for family films like Ralph Breaks the Internet and Moana. She was also the scriptwriter on animated feature Smurfs: The Lost Village from Columbia Pictures, Sony Pictures Animation and The Kerner Entertainment Company. And she’s a little bit internet-famous herself—her long-running blog (pamie.com) went viral in 2014 with several critiques of the Barbie-themed book I Can Be a Computer Engineer. Ribon has also penned graphic novels, including My Boyfriend is a Bear (Oni Press) and Slam!, (BOOM! Studios).

Disney TVA and Baobab are also working together on The Witchverse, a 2D-animated series based on Baobab’s virtual reality short film, Baba Yaga.
