The next stop for Spin Master’s CG-animated series Mighty Express is UK preschool channel Tiny POP.
The 56 x 11-minute series will premiere on the free-to-air linear channel that’s owned by Narrative Entertainment on September 1.
Mighty Express is set in the world of Tracksville, where a group of talking trains and their human best friends work together on transportation jobs and making assigned deliveries on time.
The show is produced by Toronto-based Spin Master Entertainment with animation from Vancouver’s Atomic Cartoons (Spidey and His Amazing Friends). Created by Keith Chapman and developed by Suzanne Bolch and John May, it first launched on Netflix in 2020 and currently airs on the CBC and CBC Gem in Canada.
Vida the Vet, another Spin Master series that was greenlit in June by Brit kidcaster CBeebies and Canada’s preschool net Treehouse, will join Mighty Express on UK and Canadian airwaves in fall 2023. The 2D-animated series (52 x 11 minutes) centers around a 10-year-old girl who takes care of animals found near her home.
Meanwhile, Narrative Entertainment commissioned a live-actioner called Swipe It With Joe Tasker in July. Featuring the British YouTuber taking part in wacky challenges and games, the series (six x 10 minutes) for kids ages four to nine launched on Narrative’s POP channel last month.
