Four fresh deals have just closed that will expand the international reach of CG-animated preschool series Leo the Wildlife Ranger from Singapore’s Omens Studios.
A 52 x 11-minute second season has been snapped up by Latin American network Globo (Brazil), Czech TV, MTVA (Hungary) and Good TV (Taiwan). And this builds on previous sales to Tencent (China), TV3 (Catalonia), MBC (MENA), Zoomoo (APAC and Latin America), Celestial Tiger (South Korea and Indonesia) and Amazon (North America).
Aimed at three- to six-year-olds, Leo the Wildlife Ranger follows along with two kids and their canine companion as they travel the world learning about nature and wildlife and how to protect the environment.
To date, season one of the adventure-driven series has aired in more than 50 countries on linear nets including Discovery (EMEA), Channel 1 (Russia), Globo (Brazil), CJ E&M (South Korea) and Canal+ (Myanmar), as well as on VOD platforms Amazon Prime (US), Kidoodle.TV (Canada) and Tencent (China).
Eco-themed content continues to be popular in the global kids TV marketplace. Earlier this year, France Télévisions greenlit 2D-animated comedy Me and My Compost from French prodcos Superprod and Vivement Lundi! And SVOD platform Azoomee acquired a 30 x 10-minute live-actioner called Go Green with the Grimwades from French distributor APC Kids for Central and Eastern Europe, Asia and MENA.
