WarnerMedia APAC has greenlit The Pandavas from Indian studio Hi-Tech Animation for its regional kids channel POGO.

Debuting April 23, the two-season series (13 x 30 minutes each) is inspired by Indian mythology and stars five young princes who take part in heroic battles and adventures that strengthen their brotherly bonds.

POGO will premiere the toon exclusively in India, and Hi-Tech holds the distribution rights outside of South Asia. The prodco is also developing another two seasons.

Cartoon Network India teamed up with Hi-Tech last year on its first-ever superhero series, Ekans—Ek Se Badhkar. The kidsnet has also been padding its lineup with several local productions over the last few years, including Cosmos-Maya’s Titoo and Lambuji Tinguji, which it commissioned last year.
