Marvel Entertainment is teaming with radio network SiriusXM to launch a new scripted podcast called Marvel’s Squirrel Girl: The Unbeatable Radio Show!

The six-episode series sees superhero Squirrel Girl start up a radio show at her college, which cuts into her time for fighting evil. A first ep is available now on all major podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple, Stitcher, etc.) in the US. But future instalments will drop weekly on the SXM app and the Marvel Podcasts Unlimited channel on Apple, ahead of rolling out on other platforms.

Comic book scribe Ryan North (The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Squirrels Just Wanna Have Fun) wrote the audio series, with original music from Justin Huertas and Steven Tran. New York-based podcast company Radio Point (The Sketch Factor) is producing with Marvel, and the team behind the project includes producer Bernie Kaminski (Radio Point) and executive producers Joe Quesada, Jill DuBoff and Lorraine Cink (Marvel).

Marvel has been lining up more of its brands in the podcast space recently in order to capitalize on the screen-free entertainment trend that emerged during the pandemic. Marvel’s Wolverine: The Long Night with parentco Disney launched in spring 2018, followed by Marvels in fall 2019.
