Former eOne creative exec Jillianne Reinseth (pictured) has joined Corus-owned Nelvana as a supervising creative producer.
Starting today, she joins Vanessa Esteves in overseeing the creative direction of multiple series in production, as well as leading one or two concepts in development. Working in the same role as Reinseth, Esteves is also the co-creator, showrunner and executive producer of Nelvana’s latest 2D-animated show Super Wish.
Reinseth will initially focus on steering the creative direction on a new series in the works that has yet to be announced, and she reports directly to head of development Athena Georgaklis.
Prior to joining Nelvana, Reinseth served as SVP of creative affairs at Hasbro-owned eOne, where she oversaw the creative elements of all projects in development and production for eOne Family, most recently working on Ninja Express and Alien TV. She was also part of the leadership team behind eOne Family’s brand-building strategy, working closely with the division’s distribution, licensing and merchandising teams globally.
Earlier in her career, Reinseth was a VP of creative affairs at Nerd Corps Entertainment (Kate and Mim-Mim), and she also previously held a number of senior creative management positions at DHX, Disney and Nickelodeon.
Nelvana has also recruited former eOne manager of creative affairs Shannon Bishop as a development executive for original scripted programming, reporting to Georgaklis. She will focus on a slate of animated projects that are either in development, or will be soon. Prior to eOne, Bishop worked in a number of development roles at Canadian prodco Fresh TV (Total Dramarama).
