Odin’s Eye secures APAC deals for The Beachbuds

Disney Japan and ABC Australia have picked up an animated series about a resort run by beach-birds bent on ensuring their guests have a good time.

Australian distributor Odin’s Eye Animation has announced new deals with Disney Japan and ABC Australia for animated series The Beachbuds. They come on the heels of the show’s launch last fall on Disney+ Hotstar in the APAC region.

Produced by Montreal-based Syon Media and J-Toon Studios in LA and Indonesia, The Beachbuds (52 x 11 minutes) launched on Disney Japan today. It’s also currently airing on ABC Australia, marking the first time the Aussie pubcaster’s children channels have run a program created in Indonesia.

Targeting the six-to-11 demo, The Beachbuds features a group of feathered friends who work at a tropical island resort and try, through myriad adventures, to show their guests how to have the “best day ever.”
