Cyber Group Studios’ Gigantosaurus (pictured) and WildBrain’s Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures are on their way to kids AVOD platform Sensical, which continues to bulk up its entertainment library.

Owned by Common Sense Networks, Sensical is on a real content-buying bender right now as it works to establish itself in a busy children’s entertainment universe. The US-based AVOD recently announced deals with digital-first video creators and studios including Edutainment (Super Geek Heroes, Little Smart Planet and Sir Linkalot); Goes To Eleven Media (In A World Music Kids); Hammershark Media (Twenty TrucksTruck TunesHistory For HumansLook, Listen & Learn; Simple Alien (FoodTeenies) and The Wise Channel.

Last week, Sensical also added Molly of Denali, Pinkalicious & Peteriffic, Live from Mount Olympus, Timestorm and The Genius Generation to its podcast library in a deal with public media organization PRX. And the platform is growing its footprint through new distribution partnerships as well, announcing this week that its brand-new Sensical 8 service for eight- to 10-year-olds has been added to The Roku Channel.

Sensical offers reviewed and rated content for three age groups—two to four, five to seven and eight to 10—and it operates as an extension of the Common Sense Media brand. To keep up with the growth of its offering, the platform has made several key hires of late, including bringing in Jeff Skaggs as head of sales and brand partnerships and Michelle Kim as head of growth marketing in December 2021.
