A multi-year deal between Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) and NBCUniversal Global Distribution will see more than 400 episodes of DreamWorks Animation content launch regionally  on streaming service Viaplay this spring.

The agreement makes NENT’s SVOD platform the exclusive streaming home for DreamWorks animated series in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Poland and the Netherlands. Titles joining Viaplay’s lineup include Madagascar, The Croods and How to Train Your Dragon, and everything will be dubbed or subtitled in local languages. DreamWorks content already available on Viaplay includes Shrek and Kung Fu Panda.

NENT has been expanding its offering of original programming for children lately as it prepares to expand into the UK, Canada, Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2023. It’s currently prepping book adaptation Karma and Jonar, and also recently ordered Little Baby Bum spinoff Mia’s Magic Playground.
