Spin Master’s president of entertainment Jennifer Dodge (pictured left) is now heading up content sales and distribution and outbound licensing for consumer products.
These new leadership responsibilities were previously handled by Adam Beder, who was promoted from EVP of strategic partnerships and franchise development to EVP of Spin Master Ventures and Entertainment last month.
Dodge, who was just upped from EVP to president of entertainment in January, will also continue to oversee content development/production and franchise growth, with a focus on building evergreen brands. Her expanded role began November 1.
Under her watch, the entertainment division released a first PAW Patrol feature film this summer. PAW Patrol: The Movie has grossed more than US$135 million worldwide to date, contributing to a 158% revenue boost (US$53 million) for the company’s entertainment and licensing segment in Q3 2021, according to its quarterly report. Spin Master and Nickelodeon Movies also announced last month that they will produce a second animated Paw Patrol feature film for 2023, as well as a spinoff TV series.
In other team news, former ZAG Entertainment exec André Lake Mayer (pictured right) has been recruited to fill a newly created SVP of global strategic partnerships and consumer products role within the entertainment division. She started in the position on November 1. Mayer was most recently working as an advisor to Icelandic prodco Treasure Trekkers Entertainment (Treasure Trekkers), but previously held executive roles in business development and licensing at companies including ZAG, Bandai America and Playmates Toys.
