The SkyFarm Company has rebranded to CUDO and raised US$250,000 in a pre-seed round of funding. The money will bolster its focus on developing original children’s properties that span platforms including animation, Roblox experiences, blockchain-connected games and toys.

Last year, the Virginia-based studio partnered with PAW Patrol and Top Wing writer Scott Albert to develop a new preschool series called Duncan’s Flying Tugboat (pictured). This 52 x 11-minute comedy-adventure, which is still in development, follows the exploits of a crew working on an airborne tugboat.

CUDO designed Duncan’s Flying Tugboat to be a multi-platform IP, and has inked a deal to have it featured on the Tonies screen-free audio system. Moving forward, the show’s narrative will be interwoven with experiences developed by CUDO’s Roblox division to expand the storyline with user-generated content. The company is also exploring key categories including vehicles, figures and playsets to anchor a consumer products launch.
