Warner Bros. Animation is getting into the audio-only market with its first-ever podcast, based on the Looney Tunes, releasing today across all major platforms.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Looney Tunes Presents: Bugs & Daffy’s Thanksgiving Road Trip is a four-part original comedy series targeted at families. It will follow the classic cartoon characters on a pitfall-laden roadtrip mission to make ducks the official bird of Thanksgiving.

Story Pirates Studios provided production services for the series, with Lee Overtree and Benjamin Salka executive producing. Overtree also directed the podcast, which was penned by Minhdzuy Khorami and produced by Sam Bair and Peter McNerney. The original score is by Jack Mitchell.

Parentco WarnerMedia has been dabbling in podcasts a fair bit lately, launching several HBO Max/DC Comics titles earlier this year, including Batman: The Audio Adventures. However this is the first WBA and first Looney Tunes podcast.

Meanwhile, many other kids brands have increasingly been joining the audio fray, with Disney Channel releasing its first scripted podcast, This Duckburg Life, in March. Nickelodeon wasn’t far behind with Avatar and SpongeBob podcasts, distributed by iHeartRadio.
