NBCUniversal’s Peacock and Fox-owned Tubi have picked up the first season of Pocket.watch’s mixed-media adventure Onyx Monster Mysteries.

The 12 x seven-minute first season of the hybrid show sees the Onyx Family (YouTubers with 3.4 million subscribers) take on quests to protect misunderstood monsters from danger. Doreen Spicer (The Proud Family) is the series showrunner, with Jon Barnett (Jillian’s Mystery Craft Box) producing.

Peacock is set to launch season one today, while Tubi has yet to announce a release date.

In addition, Amazon Kids+ is premiering season two (12 x seven minutes) exclusively today, after it bowed season one in December 2020. Amazon is also supporting the show by selling its consumer products including apparel, bags and phone cases based on the series on its e-commerce platform. The Onyx Family and pocket.watch hold the licensing rights for the consumer products.

Rounding out the franchise, Pocket.watch released four new mobile games based on the show earlier this week, including a word search and matching games, which are available in its branded mobile app.

Pocket.watch is extending the reach of season one by adding the eps to its own OTT channel, which is available through the The Roku Channel and FireTV devices.
