Netflix orders To All the Boys spinoff

Anna Cathcart is reprising her breakout role from the SVOD's popular film franchise in its first TV series XO, Kitty.

Netflix has just greenlit XO, Kitty, a spinoff series for young adults inspired by its successful film franchise based on Jenny Han’s New York Times best-selling book series To All the Boys.

Eighteen-year-old Canadian actor Anna Cathcart (pictured) will be featured in the new 10 x half-hour series as teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey. This character, the younger sister of Lara Jean Song Covey (played by Lana Condor) in all three To All the Boys movies, has become a fan-favorite on social mediaThe spinoff will follow along as Kitty uproots her life to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend.

Han created XO, Kitty and is showrunning and executive producing with Sascha Rothchild (The Baby-Sitters Club), with ACE Entertainment’s Matt Kaplan also on board as an EP. Han and Siobhan Vivian co-wrote the pilot together, and Awesomeness Studios, which produced the three To All the Boys movies, will produce the spinoff as well.
