Former GM and SVP Kristen Gray will focus on developing new content and expanding Konami Cross Media NY's IPs into multimedia brands.

Konami Group has appointed Kristen Gray as president of its production and multiplatform brand management subsidiary, Konami Cross Media NY. She succeeds Yuta Rose, who is taking over as president of Konami Digital Entertainment, the company’s LA-based video game division.

Gray—who was previously Cross Media’s GM and SVP of operations and business and legal affairs—started in her new role on September 1 with a remit to develop new content and build Konami’s existing IPs (including Yu-Gi-Oh! and Frogger) into multimedia brands.

As Cross Media’s GM, she oversaw international growth of the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand, and business development for gaming IPs Contra, Bomberman and Frogger. Recently, Gray was an executive producer on a new Frogger live-action competition series (13 x 60 minutes) that premieres on Peacock today. Frogger is just the first of several new shows under Gray’s watch, all of which are coming soon, according to a Konami Cross Media NY spokesperson.

Gray previously served as SVP of business and legal affairs for network operations at 4Kids Entertainment, which produced dubbed versions of anime series before its acquisition by Konami in 2012.
