Mainframe Studios (owned by Wow! Unlimited Media) is opening a location in Toronto that will take a hybrid approach to work structure.

The new studio will be overseen by Vancouver-based EVP Kim Dent Wilder (pictured), along with Tanya Green (head of preschool), Jennifer Bradley (director of 2D production) and Christine Huot (manager of people and culture)—who are all currently working in Ontario.

It will start off on several of Mainframe’s 11 active projects, and the company is looking to staff up with more than 100 new employees who can opt to work in the new facility or from home.

Mainframe’s existing Vancouver location has more than 650 people working virtually on CG-animated productions such as Madagascar: A Little Wild (DreamWorks), Barbie & Chelsea the Lost Birthday (Mattel) and Reboot: The Guardian Code with Netflix. Several unnamed new projects are also underway, including one for Spin Master.
