WarnerMedia is beefing up its content offering for the recently launched HBO Max LatAm platform with seasons four to eight of Sunrise Productions’ 3D-animated Jungle Beat series, which is distributed by Ireland-based Monster Entertainment.

As part of the deal, HBO Max LatAm will be the first buyer to broadcast season eight of the dialogue-free comedy toon, starting on August 1. It previously picked up the show’s first three seasons.

WarnerMedia has also picked up Jungle Beat‘s latest season to run on HBO Max in France, Africa and Israel when the service starts operating in those territories.

HBO Max launched in LatAm on June 29, and will roll out across Europe later this year.

Airing in more than 180 countries worldwide, Jungle Beat targets four- to eight-year-olds and revolves around the slapstick antics of a group of animals in nature. Cape Town, South Africa-based prodco Sunrise has delivered more than 90 seven-minute episodes of the series to date to broadcasters including YLE (Finland) and Gulli (French-speaking Africa).
