Netflix has picked up new preschool shows and specials based on Moonbug’s CoComelon (pictured) and Little Baby Bum franchises worldwide in 2022.

Moonbug and Netflix will produce three seasons (24 x seven minutes) of CoComelon Lane, a new series about JJ and his best friends as they experience life’s big moments, as well as four 60-minute nursery rhyme compilations and a number of new specials.

The partners are also producing one season of Little Baby Bum: Music Time (48 x seven minutes), which will teach preschoolers about rhythm, sound, instruments and other musical fundamentals when it launches in 2023.

Both brands’ content libraries are offered worldwide on Netflix, which says CoComelon is already a top-10 hit on its platform in 29 countries, including the US, UK, South Africa, Canada and Australia.

Moonbug acquired CoComelon in July 2020, and has since sold the brand’s content to Netflix, BBC iPlayer and WarnerMedia’s Cartoonito channel in the UK.
