ZAG continues to grow its LatAm licensing team with the appointment of Melisa Fuhr as licensing and retail director of South America. In the newly created role, she will lead ZAG’s IMC licensing agency in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia, and work directly with licensees and retailers in Chile and Peru.

Based in Argentina, Fuhr started in the role on June 14 and reports to Angela Cortez, VP of consumer products for Latin America. She will initially focus on the company’s flagship Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir brand and upcoming IP Ghostforce.

Fuhr spent nearly 15 years with confectionery manufacturer Arcor SAIC, most recently serving as regional licensing manager. She joined ZAG from kid-focused YouTube channel El Reino Infantil, where she was the licensing director for Southern LatAm.

LatAm has been a region of focus for ZAG’s team-building efforts lately. In March, the LA-based prodco recruited former Viacom exec Cortez into her role as VP. And in May, Betsabe Luna was hired as licensing and retail director for Mexico and Central America.

New Miraculous toys from Playmates launched recently in Argentina, and they’re set to hit shelves in Chile and Peru in October. Globally, a Miraculous feature film is in the works, and several new TV movies have been rolling out on Disney Channel and Disney+.
