Take a deep breath, center yourself, and get ready for Sesame Workshop’s new podcast in partnership with Headspace. Launching June 13, Goodnight, World! will feature 11 episodes focused on mindfulness and meditation to help kids get ready for bed.

Each episode includes a story narrated by a Muppet from Sesame Street, a meditation exercise led by a Headspace reader, and a soundscape of music and relaxing sounds inspired by locations like Big Bird’s nest and Abby Cadabby’s fairy garden.

Goodnight, World! joins a wave of new kid-skewing offerings in the podcast market. Nickelodeon recently partnered with iHeartRadio to create a whole slate of podcasts based on its popular brands, starting with Avatar: The Last Airbender. Meanwhile, Sony Entertainment and Tinkercast are collaborating on new audio content for kids and families, and Disney Channel recently launched its first original scripted podcast, This Duckburg Life.

The partnership between Sesame and Headspace will also yield a line of new books inspired by their popular YouTube series Sesame Street Monster Meditation. Six new titles from Random House Children’s Books featuring the same characters, themes and plots as the shorts are currently in the works for kids ages two to five.

Board book Sesame Street Monster Meditation: Being Patient with Cookie Monster will hit shelves on June 29, followed by Sesame Street Monster Meditation: Getting Ready for Bed with Elmo on September 28 and additional titles in 2022.
