Nickelodeon has partnered with iHeartRadio to create a slate of new podcasts based on its popular brands, starting with Avatar: The Last Airbender (pictured) and SpongeBob SquarePants. Nick will also develop audio series based on several other IPs, with more details to come in the months ahead.

The iHeartPodcast Network will distribute these new podcasts across a variety of platforms, including iHeartRadio, Spotify and Apple.

Avatar: Braving the Elements (40 episodes) features voice actors Dante Basco (Prince Zuko) and Janet Varney (Korra) as they rewatch the animated fantasy series and explore themes, scenes and trivia. Special guests including the show’s producers and other cast members will join in and share behind-the-scenes info. The podcast premieres June 22 on the iHeartRadio app and website globally.

Avatar: The Last Airbender (61 x 22 minutes) is an action-adventure series about a group of kids with magic powers who try to bring peace to the world. Originally released in 2005, it became Netflix’s most-watched kids series in the US earlier this year, according to the NPD Group.

Diving deep into Bikini Bottom lore, SpongeBob BingePants (40 episodes) will put fans in the spotlight to watch every episode, share recaps and reveal new trivia about SpongeBob when it launches later this year. The animated series about an optimistic Sponge and his quirky friends frequently ranks as the most in-demand kids show globally, according to Parrot Analytics.

No stranger to the podcast world, Nick has previously produced Listen Out Loud with The Loud House, Blue’s Clues & You!: Bedtime Stories and the Nickelodeon Animation Podcast.
