ZAG bolsters its LatAm licensing team

Former Viacom exec Betsabe Luna will lead retail strategy in Mexico and Central America for brands like Miraculous and Ghostforce.

LA-based prodco ZAG is expanding its consumer products team in LatAm with a new retail and licensing hire.

Former Viacom exec Betsabe Luna (pictured) joins the company in a newly created role as director of retail and licensing for Mexico and Central America. Based in Mexico City, she starts today and reports to Angela Cortez, ZAG’s recently appointed VP of consumer products for LatAm.

Luna will oversee business development in her territory, working in partnership with a team of local licensing agents on ZAG brands including Miraculous Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir and Ghostforce.

She previously spent eight years at Viacom, most recently serving as a consumer products franchise manager in Mexico and Latin America for MTV Networks. Earlier in her career with the company, Luna built a strategy to grow Nickelodeon consumer product sales in Mexico. And prior to joining Viacom, Luna was a country brand manager in boys and girls categories for Canadian toyco Spin Master.

ZAG also appointed former Viacom and Disney exec Hyde Schram as VP of global promotions, with a focus on marketing and sponsorship opportunities. Schram also starts in her new role today.
