Thunderbird Entertainment has upped Sarah Nathanson to corporate secretary and chief operating officer.

In her new role, which was previously vacant, Nathanson will head up operations across all of Thunderbird’s divisions, including Atomic Cartoons. She reports to president and CEO Jennifer Twinner McCarron, and will support the growth trajectory of all divisions.

Additionally, she replaces Thunderbird Entertainment co-founder Cameron White in handling the corporate secretary role.

Nathanson will also continue to serve as general counsel, working with other senior members of the business including CFO Barb Harwood, CCO Matthew Berkowitz and president of global distribution and consumer products Richard Goldsmith.

Nathanson has nearly 15 years of experience in entertainment law and has been in place as general counsel at Thunderbird since 2018. She previously worked at DHX (now WildBrain) as director of business and legal affairs.

This promotion is part of an ongoing consolidation of Thunderbird’s senior leadership team as the company continues to grow, according to a release. Nathanson’s appointment also follows the announcement of Mark Miller’s departure from Thunderbird and its subsidiary Great Pacific Media.
